Here are Scape Films we use DVD-R discs for distribution. A DVD-R disc stands for Digital Versatile Disc Recordable. It uses a different technology then discs typically purchased in stores. It's because of this technology we do not need to order large quantities of our DVD's or keep large backstock, and so we are able to offer our films on DVD for lower prices.

However there is one drawback to DVD-R technology. It's compatiblity with DVD players is spotty. Most modern DVD players purchased within the last few years will be able to play DVD-R discs without a problem. Many older players will as well. But some of the older players and few of the newer players will not play the discs. Because of this we offer a full refund or replacement (depending of which suits us best) if you are not able to play our DVD's in your player.
